Faculty of Medicine Diversity Dialogue Series: Let's Talk About Islamophobia in Medicine

Learners, staff members, and faculty members at the Faculty of Medicine are cordially invited to an open forum taking place on April 6, 2017 to have a conversation about the issue of Islamophobia in Medicine, and how we can work together to create a more inclusive, respectful, and accepting community for all.  The forum will provide the opportunity for the community to hear from panelists sharing personal experiences and strategies to respond to experiences of discrimination and marginalization and to share ways in which we can all better support our fellow colleagues and community members. All participants in the forum will have the opportunity to dialogue and share personal experiences and stories.

Mr. Amjad Tarsin, Muslim Chaplain, University of Toronto
Dr. Fariha Khan, Family Physician, Burlington (U of T FoM graduate)
Dr. Arfeen  Malick (PG-Y3)& Dr. Nourhan Safwat (PGY-5), Residents in Psychiatry

Although this event will be geared towards the Faculty of Medicine community, all members of the broader community, including other University of Toronto students, staff, and faculty members, are also encouraged to attend.  Light refreshments will be served.
